Product Engineer- Medical
The Product Engineer is responsible for managing all technical aspects of the medical products division including R&D, the transition into production, and ensuring continuing production support is met. This position will also have an emphasis on quality and will coordinate between research and development, management, production, technical sales, and the customer to meet customer requirements. More specific job duties include: product launch and improvement, gauge development and maintenance, implement and improve use of SPC in our Medical division, help maintain ISO 9001:2008 and other certifications, maintain key customer and supplier contact, development, and robot programming.

Basic Requirements

  • BS degree in Engineering or Science.
  • Drafting experience, preferably using SolidWorks
  • Strong communication and computer skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work with cross functional team
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desired Skills
  • 5 years experience in project management or manufacturing environment
  • Robot programming experience
  • Ability to build relationships with customers and suppliers
  • ISO 9001:2008 Auditor trained
  • ISO13485
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex processes
  • Working knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean, and PPAP
  • Working knowledge of SPC, correlation studies, and gauge R&R
  • Gauge design experience
  • Minitab experience
  • Working knowledge of DOE
