Who is Fisher Barton? We are a privately held firm dedicated to the technological advancement of surface engineering. Created in 1973 and based in Watertown, WI, we have grown to five divisions with 500 employees.
What is surface engineering? It is the continuous focus on improving the chemistry of our surface material, the product, and the process.
Why are “In-house” capabilities important to our clients? With our in-house design, engineering, tooling, stamping, and heat-treating processes, we feel that we can control all aspects of our products. In our litigious society, we will not offer any shortcuts in our manufacturing processes.
What is “Austempering”? It is the absolute heat treat standard in America. It is superior to Quench & Temper of the past in that it provides: greater hardness & ductility, significantly more wear resistance, lot-to-lot uniformity, and elimination of quench cracks.
Can you assist us in design, engineering and material selection of our new product offerings? Yes, we can! Fisher-Barton is uniquely qualified with a staff of metallurgical engineers and countless years of actual field experience. Our staff welcomes your comments, inquiries, and applications. Let us show you what we can do.
